Directions
Step 1: Preheat and Prepare
Set the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish to prevent sticking.
Step 2: Cook the Sausage
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage until browned, breaking it into small crumbles. Drain any excess grease to keep the crust from becoming soggy.
Step 3: Mix in Cream Cheese
Add the softened cream cheese to the hot sausage and stir until fully melted and evenly combined. Remove from heat.
Step 4: Create the Base Layer
Unroll one can of crescent dough and press it evenly into the bottom of the prepared dish.
Step 5: Assemble
Spread the sausage and cream cheese mixture over the dough. Unroll the second can of crescent dough and place it on top, pressing the edges to seal.
Step 6: Bake
Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown. Let it rest for about 5 minutes before slicing to help the filling set.
